Bridgepoint Transitions

The purpose of Bridgepoint Transitions is to support individuals personally, practically and spiritually as they go through the employment transition process.

Career Networking Night

A quarterly event that includes dinner, an inspirational speaker and a resource fair or center.

The evening consists of a free dinner for anyone in transition, a time of networking with employed individuals, a resource fair with representatives from various service providers as well as opportunities to meet with representatives from companies that have employment opportunities. In addition, there is a resume’ station where trained “resume’ doctors” are available to review and evaluate resume’s.

Organizations represented at past Career Networking Nights have included Holy Cross Hospital, Oracle, SRA, IBM, SAS, CGI Federal, MicroStrategy and the Virginia Employment Commission.

Weekly Support Group Meetings

A weekly meeting on Wednesday evenings that includes spiritual encouragement, small group interaction and a speaker that provides professional training such as resume’ writing, interview skills and networking tips. The meeting also includes optional LinkedIn training and orientation for those unfamiliar with this professional networking website.

Encouragement Partners

Bridgepoint Transitions also provides one-on-one encouragement partner opportunities for those individuals in job transition who need individual help with resume’ writing, interviewing skills as well as personalized encouragement and accountability.
