About Our Presenter

John Mizerak is the Executive Director of Ignite Purpose, where he helps business owners, churches, and nonprofit leaders discover and live out their God-given purpose. Through consulting, coaching, and leadership development, he equips organizations to build healthy cultures by helping people first understand who they are.

John's professional journey began in 1987 when he launched a printing company in Northern Virginia. Over the next two decades, the business grew into a successful marketing and digital communications company serving organizations throughout the region. After twenty years of steady growth John chose to expand, relocate, and rebrand the company, and then… everything unraveled. Then life became even harder…

His wife Molly, after twenty eight years of marriage, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer that took her life just three months later. At the same time, the business he had built collapsed. His children were grown and gone, his career was gone, his wife was gone, and he found himself living month to month in a rental home he could barely afford.

For the first time in his life, everything he had used to define himself had disappeared.

It was in that season that John discovered one of the greatest lessons of life: our identity and purpose was never meant to be found in our career, our success, our relationships, or our failures. Our true and lasting identity is found in a relationship with our Creator.

That discovery changed everything.

Today, John's passion is helping leaders move beyond performance, titles, and accomplishments to discover the freedom that comes from knowing who they were created to be. His consulting, coaching, speaking, and ministry all flow from that one central truth.

At the breakfast, John will share how God used every success, every failure, and every unexpected loss to lead him from an identity built on achievement and success to an identity anchored in God, and why that journey has the power change the way we lead, work, and live.
